Hello Ian

Thanks for the good wishes. I love this little machine. I bought a 2400c about
7 years ago. It was DOA and although I still want to investigate why there is
no signs of power I just had to have one so I bought this one from Japan. It
cost around $250USD with delivery and taxes (the latter I was gouged on). I
think it is still worth it. The good chap even sent me a 10BaseT/modem (33.6)
adapter and some neat little diskettes with Japanese handwriting which is just
so quaint. Also a Pioneer PCP-PR! portable CD-ROM Drive. I think it was worth
it. Only the little feet on the 2400 are missing. The secondary (dead 2400c)
unit I have has the feet but they’re melted off, smeared off. So I am looking
for replacement feet. The 2400 is simply a charm.

Anyway. In terms of the MBAir, delightful computer. Very fast. I have only 2GB
of RAM and it’s last years 13 inch machine. You can not go wrong with it. In
comparison to my iMac i7 3.4GHz 32GB RAM machine (not SSD - yet), it compares
very nicely.

What is wrong with your Black MacBook? I would love to help if I can.

Alex
