Alex,

G'day

Check this link, I was somewhat sure you would need the CD to install extra languages, ahh I was correct. Most of the time it installs for the County where the computer was bought. A friend bought one in China years past. Of course I am thinking OH SHIT ;-) when she asked me to repair the computer for her. It's been many years since then. I am sure you could simply do a clean install but if there are other useful programs on the computer your going to loose them. But do check to see if the languages are installed it is not uncommon for them to already be there when dealing with China and Japan, since both countries do brisk business with their English counter parts.

Here is a link actually doing the reverse for installing Japanese on and English Mac (Oh my reverse engineering, ok I am being silly now) ;-)

Oh dear here is yet another link for your viewing pleasure

I do hope this would be useful with the keyboard since it covers both language kits and keyboard.

I hope you find this Helpful

Hello Brandy

I am much obliged by your reply. I have not taken any action yet. If indeed English support was installed, and yes I do know what you mean, how could I - a) check and b) take action to remove Japanese or prioritize the language?

I use to use Mac OS 9 on a daily basis so I know where most of the menus are by looking at their position, like restart, shutdown, copy, paste etc. and I remember what a lot of the icons look like.

I also have a Pismo that I can use for reference.

I tried some searches on the internet but have not been too successful.

If you have some further insight or steps I would be most obliged.

Kind regards
Alex
