it gave out. Looks to be the logic board or the processor. I still love

it, but now I'm a little concerned about how quickly it went, no warning

signs, no prior problems, nothing, just one day-BAM. I feel like backing

up every hour now.

Question for you, how do you like the 400 mhz chip? What were you using

before? How does the 400 compare? I'm looking at either upgrading mine

from the 240 mhz to a 400, or getting a new laptop, and any comments you

could offer on the 400 would be appreciated. >>

Hope you have a speedy recovery!
First impressions: My 400 gets kinda warm, not hot, but really warm. When I
run Virtual PC, Freecell plays like the fastest Pantyum at work (NBC, where
everything is HP Kayaks running WinNT 4.0). Haven't paid attention to battery
usage yet, but I'll be watching to see if it's dramatically worse.
MCE, who did the installation and Cardbus conversion, was great, and seem
like nice people.
If I run into problems, I'll certainly let the group know!

Oh, yes, I think I really impressed a PC-type coworker...I brought my
2400/400 in to work, and set it up on the desk. Opened up the box with my new
MacAlly USB card, and a brand new Targus "Windows" USB 'Portable Mouse.'
While he watched, I plugged it all together for the very first time, booted,
and it f*cking WORKED! Right out of the box. I nonchalantly said, "Plug and
play; this is a Mac."
