Hmmm, I just started mine to compare and here is what I got with my
2400c/320MHz G3 (Vimage)...
00:00 Chimes
00:05 HD spin up
00:12 happy mac
00:16 MacOS 8.6 splash screen
00:30 Appearance Manager loads
00:38 extansions start loading
00:46 Desktop begins to appear (menu bar & first disk partition)
00:52 Desktop fully loaded, OS ready for user input.
So, yes, I would say your 2400 is *really* slow to boot.
