While there are some differences my 180 2400c is not significantly
different than yours in loading times.

I am using Conflict Catcher 8 and Spell Checker 8.
I generally put mine to sleep and restart only when I have a freeze or
need to use the CD or Zip. As a result the slow startup time has not
been a problem for me.
I run Disk Warrior every week and check with Tech Tools regularly to
check for or head off problems.
I ordered a 320 processor upgrade so I will see what happens to the
startup time when it is installed.
