There are no frame index numbers with these...

Obviously,... otherwise it would have to change  the whole suff that follows 
and that needs to much time/space!

It happens quite often that I roughly cut away portions of a huge transport 
stream on the STB to save space... for example when I do MTV2 recordings for 
Sven. ;-)

Aeh,... you can change the Firmware of my topfield PVR? ;-)

You probably mean DVBcut... that's different, since there I have to mark the 
part that I want to save and usually I don't want the end of a stream... but 
on my STB I have to mark the part I want to delete.
