Yep, sad but true. It might just be because supporting just one version control system was more attainable in the short term, while supporting many creates a lot more work and ongoing maintenance for what is a small number of programmers. Personally, much of my Xtla development was scratching itches, and I'm less likely to develop for a version control backend that I'm not currently using.
