Aha!  I'll give it a shot, thanks.  Your comment kind of touches on how
I feel too--adding new backends to DVC is still quite a lot of work (not
that that's a deficiency of DVC; it might just be the nature of the
problem).  Unfortunately I don't have any big ideas on how to make it
easier :o)
