It's already been mentioned in passing by somebody else that the
existing interface is very low overhead from a user perspective,
unlike the tag manager page. I'd like to poke a note about
accessibility into this. Auto completion and tag manager forms
are great for many users, but in a lot of cases have very limited
accessibility. Anything which provides high-quality hierarchical
tag management, would be great, but if the only way to manage it
is through JavaScript and forms, that does limit its
accessibility. An example of tag management with pretty
horrendous accessibility is that used in del.icio.us (which, to
be fair, is also tag management with pretty horrendous
functionality).
