Along the lines of accessibility *and* being able to choose tags, what about
something like this:

1) update.bml - post your entry, add your icon, mood, content level
(14+/18+) - everything BUT tags,

2) click on 'post'

3) now you're taken to an 'add tags to this entry' page ( OPTIONAL format
maybe?? )

4) on this new page, you can click checkboxes next to all of the tags you
want to add to this entry or have the option of adding a new tag, complete
w/ hierarchical parts as necessary

This takes out some of the auto-complete and allows for accessibility for
users who can't use / don't like / don't have javascript etc. It also, if
you're horrible about remembering which freaking tags you've actually USED
in the past, eliminates the step of 'post entry' / 'edit tags'. Instead of
that extra click, you're already *on* the tags page and can add whatever you
need to.
