I am sure you are aware that DX4WIN keeps the last copy of a log with your log name.~xl, so loss of a log is normally not possible regardless of what happens. Simply keeping a copy of your save directory, zipped or unzipped takes only a second and my log is over 15,000 contacts and zipped will fit on a floppy. A simple ctrl c and ctrl v on the logfile and .cty file will always save a copy of your log using windows explorer. Sorry you did not know all of this before. The other files in the save directory should also be saved, particularily the .cty file. For only a few hundred contacts, you can right click the log window and print the entire log on paper in landscape on 4 or 5 pages.
