Bob The file dx4wupdexe must be in the same folder as the file dx4win.exe I am sure you have tested that.
If you have created a short cut, please right click on it and choose properties. In the "run" line could that be set to minimized? (sorry if I have put in the wrong names, I am running a DANISH Windows) And have you tried to right click on the updater program and choose run as administrator? And did you remember to close DX4WIN before you ran the update? It just flashes across the screen when I click the icon on the desktop, then disappears and doesn’t do anything. Same thing happens if I run it from the DX4Win directory.
