Bill,

I'm not sure about this, but if you make a copy of a .mdb file while it is
open, there is a chance that the pointers that reside inside the .mdb file
might be in a state that makes the database appear to be in use.  If you
later tried to restore from this backup, it might not open because it thinks
it is already opened.

Now I could be just sipping too much vino, but I would suggest testing the
backup done this way to insure that you have a sound working backup.
