All you need to purchase is a Y connector for $1 or $2 from your local stereo electronics store to accommodate more than one radio to your interface. The design of the CI-V (Computer Interface number 5, the V is a roman numeral five) bus is that it is multi drop. If you open up the stock CT-17, you will find one level converter and 4 jacks just wired in parallel. Nothing fancy. And other radios use the CI-V bus too, just not ones that you will find too often in a ham shack. > Not to mention the need for multiple serial ports on the computer - a > commodity >that is getting harder and harder to find. Still need just one. You can also now purchase USB to CI-V products to eliminate the serial port need. >Gary AL9A > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Greg - N4CC" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: <[email protected]> >Sent: December 10, 2005 10:41 PM >Subject: Fwd: Re: [Dxbase] ICOM 756 Pro II Remote Control > > >> K1NU makes an interface that works fine with the Pro II for $30...I use it >in >> my shack with no problems.
