Dave I do not want to get into a debate on this list about the issues and sorry if I stepped on your toes. I know that I am reporting what some other software authors (even some on you list that votes) feel about the process and the direction. Whether its the majority opinion I cannot state but when the ones I have talked with say the same things, especially from those I respect, I tend to believe them.
It doesn't mean I will not try to anticipate that 59 definitions of modes coming in as data from imported files but 59 does seem a bit closer to a gazillion than what I expect most people would predict is the number of modes. I joined the group abt a month ago and thought I saw discussion on 3.0 but must have been mistaken.
