I have not seen this problem with the several laser printers I have used over
the years. I currently have an HP 1200 and a HP 2420dn and the problem doesn't
happen.

You will see there are two card designs: 'centered' and 'edge' I made the
'edge' version upon a request I think from someone with an ink jet printer that
had to feed them differently.

I was going to make a color version, but never got to it. I could do so if
anyone encourages me I suppose.

Subject: [Dxbase] PRINTING ON QSL CARDS??

I have been using Ron's 9 Q per card design for years. It looks real good.
But

I did have one problem;
I use a desktop laser printer and find that the toner accumulates on the part
of

the roller that is not used by the card. If I don't clean it, the next time I
print a page, I find black streaks on the paper.

Now when I print cards, I grab my XYL think-jet printer as it only applies ink
to the card.

Thanks Ron for a really nice template.

Eric, VE3GSI

A number of years ago I designed a dxbase 'card' label and instructions to use
it are here:

c:\program files\scientific solutions\dxbase 2007\labels\CardBack_9Q_ReadMe.htm

Find that file and double click it. It will open a browser and explain in
great

detail how to use it to print directly on the back of a QSL card, up to 9 Q's
per card. Since I designed this I have never used a stickon label for QSLing
again.

I do use a single Q design: 5160-1qNew.lbl, but only as a proof print on
regular

paper to be sure that I have the QSL routing details correct for every label
before I actually run CardBack_9Q_Black_centered.crv. There is also a
....edge.crv version, which you might need instead depending upon how you
printer handles qsl card size cards. I had planned a color version, thus the
'black' in the current file name, but never got to doing it.

There is also a version to put up to 20 Q's on a card, but I have not found it
necessary to use that.

Neil...I bet you didn't know this was in there! I provided this to Jack some
years ago and he included the html help file as well, which was nice.
