I fully agree with the need to test ALL examples before applying code. I also agree with the need to make the examples a "testbed" for any future changes.
I do, however, want to know when files started disappearing from the examples page. My distro is based on the files that existed when I started development of my version. You will see that there are a larger number of example pages. And I am not just talking about the sections that are only found in my code. Just by looking through the two versions, here's a quick list of files that should be included again: - api.browser.html I used this one to notice a problem I was having when certains browsers were being detected incorrectly. - event.dragdrop_children.html To test dropping on children. I also believe that we should create a set of examples for each widget that contains TWO of each widget. This should allow for testing of each widgets ability to handle duplicate use on the same page. Also, has anyone had any problems with the bugfix / patch that I posted to fix the add/remove/add problem? I am still to see any complaints and would like to see it included in the CVS version as soon as possible. On a completely separate issue could people start vetting their TO: entries when selecting "reply-to all". I already get a copt of every post to the list, I don't need a duplicate copy of every reply that comes after my posts. I noticed that it got to the point that when I select reply-to all, it included my own address in thw two field and I would be sending emails to myself. I know that sourceforge are stupid, but we need to get a standard going here that reduces the number of duplicate posts. >From: "Doug Melvin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "antti" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Michael Pemberton" ><[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: Re: [Dynapi-Dev] Doug, READ LICENSE.TXT, PLEASE!!! >Date: Sun, 9 Dec 2001 15:24:40 -0500 > >A fix was checked in that does ont work on ALL systems. >It was then release without checking. >I don't give a fuck what you do with your own time. >But I still don't think it's too much to ask for a cursory run through the >examples. >This was obviously not done as this critical error (not on browser a on >platform b but globally) >made it into the 'stable release'. > >What's done is done. >Now the bug (and others) have been fixed, but people still can't download a >'table release' any relation to "table salt"?? :) >Why is this? > >Once apon a time it was accepted in this group, that you would at least >make >a basic test before comiiting code to CVS. >We even created examples to be used for this testing. > >When did everyone take a vote to stop doing this? >And why was I not invited? _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp _______________________________________________ Dynapi-Dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mail-archive.com/dynapi-dev@lists.sourceforge.net/
