I've downloaded the files and will take a look them
later as my mouse is giving me some problems and I'll
have to either fix or change it.

As for the NS4 drag updates. What about the following
lines?

        e.defaultValue = false;
        e.bubble = de.bubble;

You said that these were the fixed. Or is it that
these lines works better?

        e.preventDefault();
        e.preventBubble();
