It would be fine if we could adapt it for Wanadoo (France), telefonica
(Spain), Alice (Italy) and any other ISP I may have forgotten that
provide a way for the user to check that the line is ok (even though his
login/passwd may not yet be active).

The parameters used (if I remember well) are : login and password + IP /
URL to check (with protocol) eventually, not used by startmire but for
information. BTW any technical URL giving ISP information like VPI /
VCI / encapsulation (and DNS, download/upload rate, login format, you
name it...) is still welcome for
