+10 for number <2>!
Regards, Armond ------------------------------- Hi, When working with many files at once I often actually only need 2 or 3 at a given time but do not want to have to keep closing the others that have already been opened and that I just know I will need again in a little while. This means I often get the tabs at the top of the editor pane as 2 or more lines. This, I think, is not easy to navigate and clutters the screen. Suggestion: Can we have as options some or all of the following please ? 1) Ability to have tabs at editor top stay in one line and scroll left right if needed (not brilliant but at least they stay in one line) 2) Maybe have the filenames truncated to x chars with a tooltip like display of full name when needed 3) Hot key to dispense with tabs for edit file selection altogether and replace by custom button bar located in main menu space or, better still, with the other panes as pull outs to left right and bottom (I like this one) This way we could have hotkeys / buttons for the most used files and toggle back to the tabs for when we want to see the complete list. Or the pull out could be the complete list. 4) Ability to define the order files appear in the tabs, maybe start by sorting by type etc. ? Any other thoughts on how tobetter display many open editor files ? Is any, some, of this possible soon(ish) please ? _______________________________________________ Eap-features mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.intellij.com/mailman/listinfo/eap-features
