Very unsure if I can add any on this. You've mentioned pretty much  
everything I've tried. I don't think it's a problem inherently with  
EclipseME, since I was using 1.5.2 which was working perfectly. I've  
downgraded to that again but it still doesn't work for me this time.  
So I'm guessing it's some sort of compatibility thing (with what I  
can't guess. Currently as far as I can tell the components involved  
are the WTK, JRE, Eclipse and ME---and Windows too if you want to  
include that. Somewhere along the line something's gone wrong or  
something's not talking to each other right?). Which version of the  
JRE are you running? Could it possibly be that? I don't think cygwin  
would affect things really, and I don't have it installed. It's  
pretty much a clean install with little else other than eclipse, ME,  
WTK and stuff.

As a last resort, I've currently installed the Nokia Prototype SDK  
4.0 (requires free registration) which eclipseME seems to have picked  
up just fine. It's nokia, but oh well, it's better than nothing
