It works for me as well, using motorola SDK (whose javadocs are inside a Jar file):
- Windows XP
- Eclipse 3.3
- EclipseME 1.7.7
- MOTODEV SDK for Java ME 1.0

Javadoc location (MIDP):
jar:file:/C:\Program Files\Motorola\MOTODEV SDK for Java(TM)ME v1.0\plugins\com.motorola.documentation.devicedocs.javadoc_1.0.0.jar!/doc/javadocs/jsr118

Since you asked for it: Works for me (Windows XP, Eclipse 3.2.2 or 3.3,
EclipseME 1.7.7).

My Javadoc location is 'file:/C:/Program
Files/Java/WTK2.5.2/docs/api/midp/' (also configured in Device Management).

BTW: I always need to configure the Javadoc location manually when I
install EclipseME. Would it be possible to make this automagically in
EclipseME? OK, you'd need to know where the Javadoc is (or search for it
in a smart way), but I guess most people use Sun's WTK anyway, and the
place of its doc folder has been fairly stable, so it wouldn't be such a
big problem.

Could it be that this is a linux-related problem? Has any windows-user
been able to see the WTK-JavaDoc?

@Michael: in WTK2.5.1 i had some bugs, but i dont remember exactly
which. I strongly recommend you to update to 2.5.2!

Greetings,
Markus

As in most things EclipseME... This function is just a thin layer on top
of Eclipse JDT functionality. I have certainly seen it work in the
past, but I don't know what the keys are to what makes it work or not
work. I can try to test it out again and step through the JDT code.
Can you guys tell me what SDK's you attempted to use?

Thanks,
Craig

I'd be glad to know how that works too. I never got it running :-(

Hi all,
I also have trouble to use the JavaDoc für EclipseME. Maybe anyone has a
hint...

Eclispe 3.3.1.1 (Linux)
EclimseME 1.7.7
Sun WTK 2.5.1

What I tried
In the 'Device-Manager' I edit the phone adding the JavaDoc path for
cldcapi11.jar: file:/usr/lib64/jvm/WTK2.5.1/docs/api/midp
midpapi21.jar: file:/usr/lib64/jvm/WTK2.5.1/docs/api/midp

but I still get:

void javax.microedition.lcdui.Graphics.setGrayScale(int value)

Note: This element neither has attached source nor attached Javadoc and
hence no Javadoc could be found.

Anyone having any hits for me ?
Is it right do use the Javadoc of midp for cldc and midp (see above)?

Have a nice day
Michael
