Right on! We have set up a "Women's Center" on our local FreeNet,
the Seattle Community Network. The amount of hostility was shocking
to me -- but what has almost destroyed our women's forum is "nice"
men who blather on and on and DO NOT LISTEN. And when we object
to this, we are accused of being excessively hostile, unwilling
to assist with REAL change... hey, you've read it all here, folks.
I'm not sure what the answer is. Jerks never get the point, not
after repeated explanations. Thanks, Shawn, for articulating
the problem so well. These "nice" guys, these wonderful "allies",
can cause many good women to leave a list. Thanks a lot, fellas.
