Vera,  thank you very much for this and the well reasoned, balanced, kind
hearted and articulate essay that followed.  I honestly feel some change
and healing taking place in me simply from reading it.  It makes me a
little more hopeful for our species. In addition to our violent tendencies,
we all so  share with each other some very lovely qualities that make our
faults worth working on.
