I was quoting from, and giving a rave review of vera's post, and probably
should have made that clearer. I can think of lots examples where this is
true though. Serbian women blocking food delivery to moslems and croats in
bosnia comes to mind as a recent sad and graphic case. I think of queen
elizabeth I, or catherine the great or maggie thatcher, but none of these
examples proves that it is ALWAYS the situation, but it is hard for me to
picture a society in which the men practiced domination and exploitation
and the women have absolutely no part in or of it. Can you think of an
example of such a society?
