With regards to the questions raised by Mark Peterson, I will
like to forward another question that pertains to the use of the
phrase 'ecofeminism'. Is the phrase 'eco' before 'feminism' imply the
continued silencing of the importance of women's concerns and
priorities? Does it also in a way serves to diminish feminism in
terms of maintaining the dual aspect of man/nature and woman/culture.
In other words, should the phrase 'feminism' comes first before other
phrase such as 'eco'? Part of the reason I raise the question is
because reality through the use of language is gender biased. As a
result, only appropriate values as defined by men are transmitted and
entrenched in presenting as the real issues.
