To chime in on the deoderant issue-- 

I use one of those salt crystals, and have for about 4 years.  I think it's
a really healthy alternative to anything else out there.

It's completely odorless, does not prevent perspiration but prevents body
odor for at least twenty-four hours.

my take on the whole deodorant issue: i don't shave and only use deodorant
on days when i work 9 hour days at my job (a coffeehouse). i've found that
since i began using it less and less i smell less and less. maybe i'm
imagining it, but my partner says he's noticed it too...and plus, i hate
the way deodorant (the natural ones, anyway, i've never tried other
kinds) gets all cakey in my armpit hair...
