Hello all, I recently received my B.S. in Environmental Science with an
emphasis in Management from Northern Arizona University, and if I had not
read Ishmael, I may be in a very different place right now. It was a
required reading of my A.P. Environmental Science class my Senior year of
high-school, and by the time I was done reading it, I knew what I wanted to
major in and here I am now. I agree with Jochen Jaeger with respect that it
is easy to read, simplified, and very inspiring to young adults. I would
strongly suggest you include Ishmael by Daniel Quinn in this reading list.

Additionally, although you do already have it listed, The Sand County
Almanac by Leopold cannot be left out of any Environmental education. The "
Land Ethic" was the most referenced piece of literature throughout my
multidisciplinary course of study.

Cheers,
William Lee
