Earl;
You have some excellent points. We've used Intertrade for five years
now,
and I was not even aware that this service was available. Thanks for the
link. Based on their prices, I don't think we'll be looking to take
advantage of that service. According to Inovis, "on-board support" is more
expensive than the "direct connection" process. GXS is one of those on-board
support companies. Inovis, having the already established connection with
UCCNet is not classified "on-board support", which is why they can
"synchronize for free". Intertrade's website states that the fees cover
various things including "on-board support". Based on their fees, it would
cost us not only the UCC mailbox fee, but also $1,000 per trading partner
one-time set-up fee and $1200.00 per year for the honor of moving our UPC's
from point A to B.
This is all something we'll have to consider... Thanks so much for the
valuable information.
If you have any questions or I may be of any assistance, please let me know.
Thanks,
Bob Ball

A new one. Located at Intertrade (which is where we started) ;-)

Yes, exactly. Yet Neiman Marcus and Intertrade seem to be doing exactly
that.
(I've emailed Intertrade requesting information on synching my client's QRS
UPCs. No answer yet.)
The fees to register & test this catalog are $1,000.00, followed by
$1,200.00
per year. I hope they are buying lots of different items.

It still leaves unanswered the question that bothers me the most:
Why does this software have to be 'certified' at the cost of tens of
thousands
of dollars?
