We did have a lot of trouble with FTP/PGP initially...(and I can
appreciate the decrypt/encrypt issues with GIS). The process did take
forever as well.
AS2 might be "worth the price" over FTP/PGP. Since the dot-com
retailers are requesting you to do EDI via CommerceHub, and there are
transaction charges to do so, most of my clients appreciate free
communications.
If my customer has AS2 connections with Walmart and CommerceHub - one
TP has no charges, and the other does. It's the exact same thing.
Personally, I would love for CommerceHub to drop their AS2 fee, and I
would gladly switch my clients over.
