You forgot the part about getting beat up when the wrong package got delivered, or when the department that's getting it doesn't know what the package contains, or when the other party had some issue with your goods and doesn't tell you about it...
Someone here said it recently and I've been repeating it like a mantra. "In the EDI group, it's not necessarily your fault, but now it's your problem." All the other stuff that you said is the easy part of EDI. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]on Behalf Of Art Douglas Sent: Thursday, January 22, 2009 5:10 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: RE: [EDI-L] Re: Check list for EDI daily monitoring The EDI department is the shipping/receiving department. We take the goods, package them, address them, make sure they get to the right carrier. We receive the purchases, log them in, unpack them and get them to the right department. We just deliver it! ______________________________________________ Chris Cancilla [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ ...
