I agree. While using IBM knowledgebase, for Sterling Gentran UNIX, was
very difficult, and I did not find what I was looking for. I called,
maybe I emailed, got an answer. I was told everything is not in this
knowledgebase like when it was at Sterling. Not sure if this info is
correct, because I get all kinds of different responses, and nothing seems
constant.

I've called in/emailed several times, and get different answers all the
time. One rep said I needed an IBM user id, which I have had since 8/11,
but they would not listen to me. I ended the conversation, called in
later, and got a helpful rep.

Also, I have received several online surveys, while on the IBM website, I
have completed them--my responses were not flattering.

The Sterling website and support was great!

The Sterling web site was absolutely much easier to find and search the
knowledge base! This new one is convoluted and takes way to much time to
drill into the information. I have not dealt with any one at IBM/Sterling
support yet, I let my clients do that!

I did a search on this and did not find anything. Since IBM took over
Sterling, I have been going through hell with customer support and
products. One thing that I have always loved about Sterling was that they
had excellent customer support. That's been thrown out the window now that
IBM has taken over and, it would appear, rolled everything into their own
system.

We had some issues going on last year (busy updating our Oracle System),
and I did not get round, as I had planned, to upgrading from GIS to
Sterling Integrator. I finally had time at the end of November, but ran
into bureaucratic red-tape just getting the software. Now the installer
doesn't work for Sterling Integrator (for the Solaris platfor) and IBM
support acts clueless.

Anybody else having problems with IBM? Would be interested in knowing
which problems and if you have managed to resolve them and how.
