I'm surprised SPS stock price hasn't dropped through the floor. Their
investors obviously don't realize SPS is about to lose their platform
for all EDI transactions and the only choice will be go to their biggest
competitor hat in hand to request they be allowed to continue to compete
followed by thank you very much, now how much will it cost me?

Having said that, though, I do agree that this is a nasty step
taken by GXS, very much along the lines of when GXS & another VAN (was
it IBM or Sterling?) refused to do interconnects with ICCnet initially.
Although I haven’t used GXS in many years (and have no plans to do
that ever again), based on the posts in this group, GXS needs to address
it’s own reliability issues before it tries to point the finger
elsewhere, in its lame excuse for enacting a very poor and widely
harmful business strategy.

So I find it a little ironic that one bully who’s trying to take over
the world (SPS) wants us to complain about another bully who wants to
take over the world (GXS).

Subject: [EDI-L] Loren Data vs. GXS.... The EDI Saga...

So, I've done business with both GXS and Loren Data... I also worked
with SPS Commerce (they offer web-based EDI solutions for a variety of
former trading partners when I worked for the retailer) which is on
Loren Data for their connections and network. I also used Inovis
Trusted-Link (i-series) back then, using first the IBM Advantis network
and then the Inovis network. As you all should know, GXS took over
Advantis and then took over Inovis later on.

Now it looks like GXS is trying to take over the EDI network and VAN
services for the world... They're using tactics to bully smaller
providers (like Loren) and force trading partners onto their own network
and over to their VAN services. They don't seem to care about what the
user may want (such as those companies that use SPS Commerce or even
Loren) in that they seem to take out any choices that a company may have
in choosing who they want to do business with...

I know that Todd Gould (Loren Data) has been on here, soliciting help
or opinions, and I know some have already commented....

But my question on this is simple.... do you care that GXS is doing
this...? Do you care that this seems to be a play by GXS to "take over
the world" by eliminating the competition....? It seems that they're
working from the model "if you can't buy 'em, destroy 'em"...

 Thoughts...?
