IBS has developed a QueueService which allows work to be scheduled.
Another thread looks at the work queue and lauches the work (thread)
when a launch rule is fired. The worker objects are EJBs that implement
a QueueExecutableObject interface. Let us know if you are interested in
more detail.

BTW, We have developed our own EJB server. QueueService is an
installable service - EJBs are not allowed to do threads.
