The performance measurement by knowledgeable users is a better
measurement than the best performance measurment with the help of the
developers. The latter does not give any real world meaning to the
performance analysis of an application server, but rather is of
academic interest. Most of the users do NOT have access to the
developers of the s/w. It will good enough if they get decent support
from the manufactures these days.

Thus, real world performance should be measured and released and the
manufacturer has all the time to comment on it and improve it if
possible. This also gives the manufacturer excellent insight into how
their s/w is being used. If they get bad results it could be partially
due to incorrect usage and the reason could be, improper documentation
or inadequate support etc.

I found the report quite informative and more important I would find
all the vendors responses even more informative.

Just my 2p worth.
