For the most part, you will probably find WebGain
studio right up your alley, since it integrates
(alellegedly) extremely well with WebLogic and
Dreamweaver provides extensive support for WebLogic's
JSP implementation.
However, as far as object/relaational mapping,
WebLogic does not really supply this un any great
depth. You may want to consider TOPLink for this. If
you do, your IDE is really inconsequential, since it
has its own builder or it is entirely API based.
I will say that when building and deploying a real
world EJB applicaion, there are no IDEs that stand up
to the task. When you need to build a new system and
you have to compile, build, package and deploy 150
EJBs, the IDEs are a total waste of time. For this
reason we started using Visual Slick Edit (understands
Java, has code tagging, syntax coloring, Code Complete
and source control ) and used Jakarta-Ant for builds.
