Beyond using BMP for RDBMS, you can use it to provide an entity wrapper for all
kinds of resources that vendors may not provide CMP persistence for.  For
example, its easy to imagine a bean whose state is obtained from a device
(perhaps using SNMP) or some other non-RDBMS resource.
