Hi Vic - I use the auto-detect keying with my paddle and computer both hooked up at the same time. My computer "interface" is a simple one transistor switch. It works perfectly and as far as I can tell I don't get any "spurious long dashes" up to about 33 wpm which is my limit. Note that I filed the "as far as I can tell" disclaimer - have not looked at it on a scope nor have I had any reports - but then - I use it mostly in contesting and in the heat of battle it's not likely that anyone is going to take the time to comment!
It is so simple, give it a try and see what you get. Have fun. 73 es gud dx --don n4hh K2/100 #2028, etc, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vic Rosenthal" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Elecraft] K2 auto-detect feature <snip> > I'm thinking about using the K2 auto-detect keying >feature to allow me to use I'm wondering whether I'm >likely to have a problem with spurious long > dashes when using my paddle. > -- > 73, > Vic, K2VCO > Fresno CA > http://www.qsl.net/k2vco --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
