Was playing in the 10m contest this weekend and had noise (like a dirty, hashy carrier, similar to TV-generated noise) every 5-10 kHz as I tuned the band. When I turned my laptop off, it went away.
My laptop is about 4 ft from the radio and about 25 ft from my balcony dipole. Any thoughts on how to decrease the noise?
