Barry; I have an LCD monitor.
Every now and then I get RFI from it. I disconnect it from the power supply for a few seconds, plug it back in and RFI is gone. It may come back in a couple of days or it can be weeks. de <mailto:[email protected]> K2GN - Larry - <http://k2gn.com/> http://k2gn.com K3 S/N - 3278 P3 S/N - 51 From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Monty Shultes Sent: Sunday, December 12, 2010 10:57 AM To: Barry; [email protected] Subject: Re: [Elecraft] RFI from computer Barry - The interference may be coming from the LCD. Can you reduce the brightness of the display? Also check the power supply - try putting beads on the leads. It could be a noisy switching supply. If, as Jeff suggested, it's Ethernet noise, you could use a USB wireless adapter if the laptop does not already have a wireless network feature.
