Let's make it simple. How do you think a ham stick or ISTRON both "resonant" antennas compare to a 43 foot vertical on 40 meters. It is not resonance but efficiency

Old-time hams well remember the legendary DX feats of W6AM with his huge farm of non-resonant rhombics, sprawling out across what is now probably the most expensive residential land in the country.
