Its the KX3 (sorry) But for wiring, I am not in a position to do any construction. So all I am looking to do is use a CM500 with a PPT hand switch, and wondering what I still need aside from what is included with the headphone
The hand switch. And maybe the adapter? a 'kosher' ham Sent from my BlackBerry device -----Original Message----- From: Greg <a...@cablespeed.com> Sender: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net Date: Sun, 19 Feb 2012 11:26:32 To: <elecraft@mailman.qth.net> Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Yamaha CM500/PPT Headset Actually it does not matter. No adapter is included with the K3 or KX3. The KX3 will include a mic plug you can wire yourself. It is a 3.5mm 4 conductor plug. There is a menu item to enable or disable the up/dn button signals provided by the MH3 mic. I connected a standard 3 conductor audio cable that breaks down to two RCA connectors and use that to interface my CM500 and a PTT switch. 73 Greg AB7R On 2/19/2012 11:15 AM, va3...@gmail.com wrote: > Alright. > > I have a question about the CM500 and PTT > > If I want to use PTT is an adapter already included with the package or do I > need to by it.
