With the quick memories set up as described it has no affect on the use of the 
Memory buttons for CW or Phone memories.

In the case of using the Quick Memories for recalling frequencies you push the 
"M>V" button first then the M1-M4 buttons if you are recalling the Phone or CW 
message memories you just push the appropriate M button without the "M>V".

Now that I am used to this arrangement I actually find it quicker than the 3 or 
4 button pushes needed to recall the upper band stacking registers on my 
previous Transceiver.

Also, during contests I will often use the 4 Quick Memories to store a 
frequency I want to return to to work someone and then after the contest I use 
the Memory Manager to reset them to the mode specific values.
