I see people who ordered their radios on 12/29/2011 are getting them. I ordered my KX3 kit by phone on 12/28/2011 13:58 CST and I'm still waiting for anything from Elecraft.
One guy I know ordered his KX3 two hours before me and he got his KX3 (#206) about 4-5 weeks ago. I sure would like to know what queuing algorithm they are using? Apparently, it isn't FIFO. Elecraft (unintentionally) misled customers into thinking they would have some sort of production in place when they started taking orders. What the heck did they do between 12/27/2011 - 3/29/2012? Apparently, they had over 300 orders in just the two hour period before I called and ordered. I spent most of my 37 years working in research, even I would have "Staffed up" when I started getting hundreds of orders the first two days and more kept pouring in over the next few weeks. I'm new to Amateur radio and bought my KX1 and K3 kits on the recommendation of a old timer. According to him Elecraft has been down this road at least once before with the K3.
