Hi Fred, I agree that the 15 step DNR control on the FT5000 is a very useful and effective function. To gain access to the K3 NR settings you need to press and hold the NR button (NR ADJ). The settings will appear in the VFO B portion of the display. There are a total of 32 noise reduction steps with the first 16 tailored to CW mode (F1-1 thru F4-4) and the remaining 16 tailored for SSB mode (F5-1 thru F8-4). While not as convenient as the variable NR setting on the FT5000, it's just as effective. You can read all about it on page 25 of the Operating Manual.
