Phil/All, I am usually on the net during Daylight Savings Time months when it meets at 2:00 PM EDT. I usually have no problems hearing Phil or John, N6JW, from my QTH outside Atlanta, GA. If you are trying to check into the net and can't get to Phil or John, and you can hear me, I will be more than happy to relay for you.
Phil, you are about 300 degrees from my QTH, so I cover a good deal of the country with my Hexx Beam when I'm pointed your way. I am always happy to act as a relay or call for check-ins for stations that maybe don't hear you when you call the net to order.
