I don't know where you got the idea that I was suggesting compression for PSK31. My testing with pink noise is intended to simulate speech, and I tested with and without compression.

It's raining, which stops antenna work, so I set up PSK31 measurements this afternoon. Here's a link to the data. Note that I used PSK-D mode -- internally generated by the K3.

Note that, except at full power, PSK31 is significantly narrower than CW.
