Any discussion of mobile operation ought to include the bands in use. VHF/UHF is VERY different from HF with respect to RFI. My earlier posts in this chain have been with respect to HF. It's been a LONG time since I've encountered vehicle-related noise issues on VHF or UHF FM. I HAVE encountered noise from noise sources plugged into lighter plugs. :)
