Thanks, Don. At this very moment I am scanning everything in my office for a suitable candidate . . .
I just thought of it – a tennis ball! Also useful for stress relief when waiting for a nitch in a pileup . . . Drill a hole in the far end if there is not sufficient opening to pass the wires, and put whatever plug on it that fits your transceiver PTT jack. If the pushbutton does not stay with friction, glue it in with E6000 cement, or epoxy or whatever works to keep it in place. If you don't have such materials available, the cost is much smaller than buying a commercial pushbutton PTT switch. The switch and 1/4 inch plug can be found at Mouser - choose economy shipping unless you have other parts to order. 73, Don W3FPR ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
