I expected this, and in preparation received an RA number to have my own K3 and P3 packed out this month while parts are available. Still, I find it sad.
The value proposition from Elecraft has been easy to justify: buy a base model radio and then add options as necessary or possible. With the arrival of the K4, the K3-line is seemingly being abandoned. It is 10-ish years old, but still great. Of course, I understand. Elecraft is a small company and it is not practical to keep all the parts available forever. But unlike the K1, KX1, and some K2 options, where components became unavailable, the K3 transition feels different somehow. Ah, well.
